What is the NAB MATE promo?
The NAB MATE promo is an exclusive internet deal for NAB customers.
When you sign up for a new eligible MATE nbn® plan using the promo code NABMATE and pay with an eligible NAB card, you’ll get $30 off per month for your first 6 months, and then $20 off per month for as long as your service stays connected during the promotional lifetime¹.
That’s up to $300 in savings over the first 12 months.

Who is eligible for the NAB MATE offer?
You’re eligible if you:
👉 Are a NAB customer with an eligible NAB Visa debit card, NAB Visa credit card, NAB Now Pay Later (NNPL) digital card, NAB Business Visa debit card or NAB Business Visa credit card issued by NAB.
👉 Sign up for a new eligible MATE nbn® plan during the promotional period (1 September 2025 – 31 August 2026).
👉 Keep paying your MATE bill with your eligible NAB card to continue receiving the discount.
How do I claim the NAB MATE offer?
Here’s how to claim the NAB MATE offer:
1️⃣ Sign up for an eligible MATE nbn® plan via the dedicated NAB offer link (this page).
2️⃣ Enter the promo code NABMATE at checkout.
3️⃣ Add your eligible NAB card as your payment method.
Your discount will be applied automatically once your service is active.
Which internet plans are included?
The NAB MATE promo is available on selected MATE nbn® plans. All plans come with unlimited data and no contracts, but please note the Ripper 50/20 and No Dramas Wireless plans are not included.

What happens after the first 6 months?
For your first 6 months, you’ll get $30 off your nbn® plan each month.
From month 7 onwards, the discount changes to $20 per month — and you’ll keep getting that discount for as long as you remain on your eligible plan and continue paying with your eligible NAB card for the promotional lifetime.
Can I get the offer if I’m already a MATE customer?
If you’re already with MATE and you haven’t received our $30 off promotion previously, you may be eligible to take up this offer.
👉 Existing MATE internet customers: Get in touch and we can help apply the NABMATE promo to your account if you’re eligible (you’ll need to switch your payment to an eligible NAB card if you aren’t currently paying your MATE account with a NAB card).
👉 MATE mobile‑only customers: Add a new internet plan to your account using the promo code NABMATE and you can receive the NAB discount. (remember, you’ll need to switch your payment to an eligible NAB card if you aren’t currently paying your MATE account with a NAB card).
Can I combine this offer with other promotions?
No – this offer can’t be used with other promotions, discounts, or referral bonuses, unless we’ve said otherwise in writing.
You’re still eligible for our mobile bundle discount if you have an eligible mobile plan on your account.
What happens if I stop paying with my NAB card?
If you switch to a non‑eligible card or payment method, the promotional discount will end and your plan will revert to the standard MATE monthly price.
How do I keep the $20 off ongoing?
Keep your MATE nbn® service active and keep paying with your eligible NAB card. As long as you meet these conditions, your monthly $20 discount will be ongoing for the promotional lifetime.
Can I save even more with a mobile bundle?
Yes! If you also add a MATE mobile plan to your account and keep it connected, you’ll receive an extra $10 off your internet each month on top of the NAB discount thanks to our mobile bundle offer.
Are there any contracts?
All MATE plans are month-to-month with no lock-in contracts, except for our Fibre Connect plans, which have a 12-month minimum term.

Why is my NAB card not eligible?
Only certain NAB cards qualify: personal NAB Visa debit cards, NAB Visa credit cards and NAB Now Pay Later (NNPL) digital cards issued by NAB, Business Visa debit cards issued by NAB or business Visa credit cards issued by NAB are also eligible. Other NAB cards may not be eligible.

These mobile plans are exclusive to NAB customers when you sign up and continue to pay with your eligible NAB card.
What mobile network does MATE use?
MATE mobile services use the Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network.
The Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network coverage area reaches more than 98.8% of the Australian population and covers more than 1.7m square kilometres of the Australian landmass.

Can I keep my mobile number when I switch to MATE?
Yes, you can keep your existing mobile number if you switch to MATE!
To retain an existing mobile number, this needs to be active with another provider, and you will need to confirm the following details when activating your service:
👉 Whether the mobile number you wish to retain is a prepaid or postpaid mobile service;
👉 The carrier (provider) the mobile number is currently active with, e.g. Telstra, Optus, Vodafone etc.;
👉 The date of birth (if prepaid) or the account number (if postpaid) registered with the current carrier (provider) of the mobile number.
