Yes! All MATE mobile services support Wi-Fi calling.
Wi-Fi calling lets you make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi connection when you’re somewhere with low or no mobile signal, like inside thick-walled buildings or some rural spots. It can also work when you’re connected to Wi-Fi overseas. Calls are treated as if they’re made from Australia, so charges depend on your plan’s inclusions.
What does it cost?
- Calls to Australian numbers are included, as all plans have unlimited talk and text to standard Australian numbers
- If your plan includes international calls to selected countries, those are included too, even without international roaming
- Calls to countries not included in your plan are charged at standard international rates
đź’ˇ Tip: Wi-Fi calling doesn’t use your mobile data. You’ll just need a 4G-capable phone and a stable Wi-Fi connection.
