Why is this plan not available on the nbn plans page?
This plan is an invitation-only offer. It’s been set aside for a small group of previous MATE internet customers and isn’t publicly advertised on our website.
How do i know if i’m eligible for this exclusive plan?
If you’ve landed on this page from a MATE email and you can proceed to sign up, you’re eligible.
This offer is limited and only available to selected customers who were invited by MATE.
What happens if i change plans later?
If you move to a different internet plan, you’ll be moved onto the standard pricing and inclusions for that plan, and the exclusive pricing applied to the above plan will no longer apply.
If you want to keep this pricing, you’ll need to remain on this exclusive plan.
What does “discount for life” mean?
“Discount for life” means the monthly price stays on your service for as long as you keep this exclusive plan active. If you cancel the service or change to another plan, you will no longer be able to move back to this plan.
If there’s a price change to this plan in future, we’ll let you know ahead of time. The final amount you pay may change if the base price of the plan changes.
What does typical busy period download speed mean?
The typical busy period download speed listed on each MATE nbn® plan is the average speed experienced by a selection of MATE users between 7pm and 11pm.
Your actual speed will depend on factors like the nbn technology at your address, your modem/router, your in-home setup and Wi-Fi environment, and network congestion.If your service is delivered over nbn copper infrastructure, you may not be able to achieve the full speed tier at your address. If that happens, we’ll recommend a speed tier that better matches what your connection can support.
What is the bundle and save offer?
Our bundle and save offer means a $10 discount is applied to your internet service each month if there is an eligible MATE mobile service on the account at the time of billing. Learn more here.
You can add a mobile service later and still get the bundle discount once your mobile service is active.
Are there any hidden fees or charges?
Absolutely not!
Transparency is key for us. The price you see when selecting your plan is what you pay. And remember, there are no lock-in contracts, so you’re free to adjust your services as you see fit without any hidden fees.
How does “no lock-in contract” work? Can i cancel anytime?
Exactly right. MATE is month-to-month, so you can cancel at any time. There are no exit fees or penalties for leaving.
What mobile network does MATE use?
MATE uses parts of Telstra’s 5G and 4G mobile networks. 5G coverage reaches at least 75% of the Australian population. The Telstra Wholesale mobile coverage area reaches more than 98.8% of the Australian population and covers more than 1.6 million square kilometres of the Australian landmass.
