can I make a manual payment on my account?

If your account has an outstanding balance, there are a few easy ways to make a payment using your VISA, Mastercard or AMEX:

💻 Self-care portal

Log in to the self-care portal using your MATE code/account number and password. Don’t know your password? Recover it here.

Once you’re in, click “update payment,” enter your card details and hit “update.” If there’s an overdue amount on your account, the system will automatically process it using the new details.

📱 myMATE app

The myMATE app doesn’t support manual payments on demand. However, if there’s an overdue amount on your account, updating your card in the app will trigger an automatic payment.

To do this, log in, tap the ‘update payment’ button, and enter your new card details.

📞 Over the phone

You can make a full or partial payment using the card you’ve got stored with us through our phone system.

Call 13 14 13 and follow the prompts.

To pay using a different card, contact our support team and they’ll help you out.

🔁 What happens if my regular payment fails?

If a direct debit payment doesn’t go through, our system will automatically try again after 3 days, and again 3 days later if it’s still unpaid. No need to do anything unless you’re contacted.
