How does Fibre to the Premises work?
Fibre to the Premises, otherwise shortened to FTTP, uses an optic fibre line that runs to an nbn network device (box) that will be installed somewhere inside your home. You then plug your modem/router into the connection device.
To connect to the internet on an FTTP connection, you will require a compatible router with a WAN port that will plug into the nbn NTD.

Your connection may be inactive due to outages or faults. Try these steps:
- Restart your modem/router and NBN device

How long does it take to get connected to the nbn?
If your property is already connected to the nbn, you can sign up for an eligible FTTP plan and get connected in minutes! (Although in some cases, it may take a few hours, up to 1-3 business days in extreme cases).
