You’re always in control of your roaming. Here are a few ways to manage it:
- Turn off Data Roaming in your phone settings: this stops your phone from connecting to roaming networks altogether. Just head to Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Data Roaming and toggle it off. You can turn it back on any time you need it.
- Connect to Wi-Fi when you can: using Wi-Fi at your hotel, café or airport won’t touch your roaming data. Turn off Data Roaming while on Wi-Fi to make sure apps don’t use data in the background.
- Don’t activate a roaming pack: without an active pack, no roaming data charges can occur.
💡 Tip: Not sure if your pack is still active or how much data you have left? You can check any time in the myMATE app — just make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled and you’re connected to Wi-Fi.
