At MATE, we get that sometimes you might need a helping hand to manage your account, whether it’s a family member, a carer, or just someone you trust. That’s why we offer two levels of access:
🛠 1. Authority (Full Access)
An authority is someone you officially nominate to act on your behalf. Once added, they have full access to your account and can:
- View billing, account and service info
- Make changes to any plans or services
- Update the payment details
- Update the contact details
- Add or disconnect any services on your account
How to add an authority:
You’ll need to complete and return our Appointment of Authority form. It helps us keep your account secure while giving someone else the access you’re comfortable with.
As you’re providing full authority for someone else to act on your behalf, the form needs to be filled out in full, dated and signed.
👉 Download the Appointment of Authority Form (PDF)Once we receive the form, we’ll process it within 2 working days and let you know when it’s done.
To remove an authority, you must contact us via phone or live chat to complete a 2FA check.
💬 2. Advocate (Talk Only)
An advocate can speak to us about your account, ask questions and get general info about the service or even log faults, but they can’t make any changes, request new services or access personal info.
Think of them like a support person who can help you out, but can’t take action on your behalf.
How to add an advocate:
Easy – just give us a call on 13 14 13 or jump on Live Chat at letsbemates.com.au.
We’ll run a quick 2FA security check with you, then add the advocate to your account. No forms, no fuss.
Want to remove someone?
If you ever want to update or remove an authority or advocate, just get in touch via phone or live chat. We’ll confirm your identity, complete a 2FA and take care of it.
