If you are an existing MATE customer, you can use our self-care portal or myMATE app to add a new home phone (VoIP) service to your account.
Steps at a glance
- Log in to the myMATE app or self-care portal
- Select “Add New Service”
- Choose “Home Phone (VoIP)” as the service type
- Select whether you want to keep your existing number or get a new one
- Follow the prompts to complete your order
Add a service using the myMATE app (best on mobile devices)
Use your account number (also known as your MATE code) to log in to our myMATE app.
Download the myMATE appOnce you’re logged in, select “add new service” on the main screen and follow the prompts to complete your order.
You’ll be asked to either:
- Keep your existing number – you’ll need to enter your current phone number and account number from your existing phone provider
- Get a new number – we’ll assign you a brand new VoIP number

Add a service using the self-care portal (best on desktop)
Use your account number (also known as your MATE code) to log in to our self-care portal.
Once you’re logged in, click “add a new service”, choose “Home Phone (VoIP)”, and follow the prompts. Just like the app, you’ll have the choice to:
- Transfer your current number (we’ll need your existing number and account number)
- Get a new VoIP number from MATE
