We can’t guarantee that a modem from another provider will work, but many of our customers do successfully use Telstra modems with MATE.
Most Telstra modems will work with our internet service, as long as:
- they are compatible with your nbn connection type, and
- they are not network locked to Telstra.
💡 Tip: The only way to know if your Telstra modem is locked is to try setting it up with our service. If it doesn’t connect, you may need to use another modem.
