We can’t guarantee a modem from another provider will work, but some Optus modems may be compatible with MATE nbn services.
Generally, Optus modems can work with MATE if:
- they support your nbn connection type, and
- they’re not locked to the Optus network.
💡 Tip: The only way to know if your Optus modem is locked is to try setting it up with our service. If it doesn’t connect, you might need to use a different modem.
