MATE uses fixed price international roaming data packs so you know exactly what you are paying for and where you can use it. There are no extra pay as you go roaming data charges outside your chosen pack.

The cost of your roaming pack will appear on your next MATE invoice. Packs expire automatically after 7 days and any unused data does not roll over, transfer or receive a refund.
💡 Tip: Your 7-day pack validity starts upon activation and expires at midnight Sydney time (AEDT) on day 7. You can add a pack before you leave, schedule it for your travel date, or add one once you’ve arrived via the myMATE app. If adding it on arrival, we recommend doing so while connected to Wi-Fi, such as at the airport or your accommodation.
Will I receive usage alerts while I am roaming?
Yes. We’ll send you notifications when your roaming pack is activated and as you use your data. You’ll receive alerts at 50%, 85% and 100% of your data usage via SMS, email and app push notification. For data-only packs, we’ll always use an alternative channel in addition to SMS to make sure you stay informed.
