What is the Integrated Public Number Database (IPND)?

The Integrated Public Number Database (IPND) is a secure, government-regulated database that links phone numbers to customer details in Australia.

It includes information like your name, address and the phone number(s) on your account.

Why the IPND exists

All telcos in Australia (including MATE) are required to keep this information accurate and up to date.

This helps:

  • Emergency services locate you quickly if you call 000
  • Support services like the National Relay Service
  • Assist law enforcement when required

Why we need your address

We need your correct residential address for the IPND, even if you mainly use your service somewhere else (like work or a holiday house).

💡 Tip: Your IPND details aren’t used for marketing — they’re only used for official and emergency purposes.

Keeping your details up to date

From time to time, we may ask you to confirm or update your details. This helps keep the information accurate and ensures emergency services can find you if needed.
