why am I getting an error message about my SIM card?

Most of the time, an error message will usually show because the SIM card is not inserted correctly, or the handset is locked.

We recommend removing the SIM and placing it in your handset again. Please double-check the user guide for your handset to confirm you are placing the SIM card in your handset correctly.

If you are still experiencing issues, you can try cleaning the SIM card and the metal contacts on the back with a dry cloth.
