Once your device has powered on, perform a HARD RESET to clear any previous ISP settings. To perform a hard reset:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Locate the small \u2018RESET\u2019 hole on your device.<\/li>\n<li>Insert a small pin into the \u2018RESET\u2019 hole, and hold for 10 seconds, ensuring you are toggling the button inside.<\/li>\n<li>You should see your device\u2019s lights flicker or toggle. Your device will begin the reset sequence \u2013 allow up to 5 MINUTES for this to take place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once your device has finished performing the reset sequence, you will now need to plug an RJ-45 ethernet cable from the blue WAN port on the back of your modem\/router to the UNI-D port on your nbn device (as per your activation instructions).<\/p>\n<p>Your device should connect to the internet within a couple of minutes, however allow up to 5 MINUTES for this.<\/p>\n<p>If your device has connected to the internet, great! You do not need to proceed any further.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are still offline<\/strong>, proceed to next steps below for an alternate option to try and get online.<\/p>\n<h4>Step 2<\/h4>\n<p>Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled on the device you are using to access your modem (e.g. computer\/laptop\/smartphone\/tablet). If you are using a smartphone or tablet, you should turn off your mobile data connectivity or any hotspot connection during this process.<\/p>\n<p>Connect to the Wi-Fi\/Wireless network of the NetComm NF17ACV modem on your computer\/laptop\/smartphone\/tablet. To connect to the Wi-Fi network of the NetComm NF17ACV modem, locate the Wi-Fi network name being broadcast by the modem from your device (e.g. computer\/laptop), select this network, then enter the password for this network when prompted.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure of the Wi-Fi password, this will be printed on the sticker on the back of the NetComm NF17ACV modem, underneath the barcodes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION TO CONNECT TO THE WI-FI OF THE NETCOMM NF17ACV MODEM OR ACCESS THE MODEM GATEWAY PAGE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you can plug in an RJ-45 Ethernet cable from your computer or laptop to one of the four (4) yellow Eth ports on the back of the NetComm NF17ACV modem.<\/p>\n<h4>Step 3<\/h4>\n<p>Open your web browser (e.g. Google Chrome\/Internet Explorer\/Mozilla Firefox\/Microsoft Edge), enter\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>192.168.20.1<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0into the address bar and press Enter.<\/p>\n<p>If successful, a login box or window should appear asking for a username and password. Enter\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>admin<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>for the username and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>admin<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>for the password.<\/p>\n<p>If this doesn\u2019t work, the password will be printed on the sticker on the back of the NetComm NF17ACV modem. Enter this password.<\/p>\n<h4>Step 4<\/h4>\n<p>Once you have logged in, you will have several options listed along the left of the page.
