Once your device has powered on, perform a HARD RESET to clear any previous ISP settings. To perform a hard reset:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Locate the small &#8216;RESET&#8217; hole on your device.<\/li>\n<li>Insert a small pin into the &#8216;RESET&#8217; hole, and hold for 10 seconds, ensuring you are toggling the button inside.<\/li>\n<li>You should see your device&#8217;s lights flicker or toggle. Your device will begin the reset sequence &#8211; allow up to 5 MINUTES for this to take place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once your device has finished performing the reset sequence, you will now need to plug an RJ-11 telephone cable from the GREY DSL port on the back of your modem\/router to the telephone wall socket located in your home (as per your activation instructions).<\/p>\n<p>Your device should connect to the internet straight away, however allow up to 15 minutes for this. DO NOT REMOVE THE DSL CABLE DURING THIS TIME.<\/p>\n<p>If the &#8216;Link&#8217; light on the front does not turn solid after 15 minutes and you have more than one socket in the home, please plug your F@st 5355 modem into any other available telephone sockets in your home, and turn the power on and off once plugged in.<\/p>\n<p>Leave your F@st 5355 modem plugged into each telephone wall socket for up to 15 minutes until the Link light on the modem turns solid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are still offline<\/strong>, proceed to PPPoE configuration steps below for an alternate option to connect to the internet.<\/p>\n"},{"label":"Get online with PPPoE: Step 1","content":"<p>Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled on the device you are using to access your modem (e.g. computer\/laptop\/smartphone\/tablet). If you are using a smartphone or tablet, you should turn off your mobile data connectivity or any hotspot connection during this process.<\/p>\n<p>Connect to the Wi-Fi\/Wireless network of the F@st 5355 modem on your computer\/laptop\/smartphone\/tablet. To connect to the Wi-Fi network of the F@st 5355 modem, locate the Wi-Fi network name being broadcast by the modem from your device (e.g. computer\/laptop), select this network, then enter the password for this network when prompted.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure of the Wi-Fi password, this will be printed on the back\/bottom of the F@st 5355 modem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION TO CONNECT TO THE WI-FI OF THE F@ST 5355 MODEM OR ACCESS THE MODEM GATEWAY PAGE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you can plug in an RJ-45 Ethernet cable from your computer or laptop to one of the two (2) yellow LAN ports on the back\/bottom of the F@st 5355 modem.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/F@st-5355_1-e1583117097310.jpg\" alt=\"F@st 5355 1\" width=\"701\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n"},{"label":"Get online with PPPoE: Step 2","content":"<p>Open your web browser (e.g. Google Chrome\/Internet Explorer\/Mozilla Firefox\/Microsoft Edge), enter <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">10.0.0.138<\/span><\/strong> into the address bar and press Enter.<\/p>\n<p>If this doesn\u2019t work, you can also try and enter the following: <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">192.168.1.1<\/span><\/strong> or <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>192.168.0.1<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If successful, a login box or window should appear asking for a username and password. Enter <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>admin<\/strong><\/span> in the Username field;<\/p>\n<p>Enter <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>telstra<\/strong><\/span> in the Password field. If this doesn\u2019t work, the password will be printed on the bottom of the modem. Click &#8216;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Broadband<\/strong><\/span>&#8216;<\/p>\n<p>Under the heading PPP Settings, enter your MATE service username in the Username field. This will be in the following format: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>a000000@matenbn.com.au<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Your MATE service username would have been emailed to you during the order process.<\/p>\n<p>Under the heading PPP Settings, enter your MATE service password in the Password field.
