Find the nbn HFC connection box in your home. There are two versions that may be installed, and your setup may include either of the models shown below:<\/p>\n

You will need to plug in your nbn HFC connection box. Ensure the coaxial cable connection is plugged in via the included white cable from the back of the HFC connection box. The other end of the white coaxial cable should plug into the cable wall outlet or socket in your premises.<\/p>\n

Plug the included power cable into the power port on the back of the HFC connection box. Plug the other end of the power cable into a power wall outlet in your home and switch the power outlet on.<\/p>\n

You will now need to wait for all four lights (POWER, DOWNSTREAM, UPSTREAM, ONLINE) on the front of the HFC connection box to turn solid green.<\/p>\n

\u2757\ufe0f Important:<\/span> This may take up to 10 minutes. DO NOT unplug the device during this time as it could interrupt the setup process.<\/div>\n

Your MATE modem comes pre-configured and does not require any setup. Simply ensure the supplied Ethernet cable is plugged from the port on your HFC connection box into the WAN<\/span> port or WAN\/LAN<\/span> port on the back of your modem. Ensure the power cable is plugged into a power outlet and switched on.<\/p>\n

Your MATE modem will begin broadcasting Wi-Fi as soon as it is plugged into power, turned on and has finished booting up. You can then connect your devices such as computers, phones and tablets via Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

\nThe modem\u2019s Wi-Fi name and password is printed on the bottom of the modem. Depending on which MATE modem you have this will be referred to differently.<\/p>\n
