A few quick checks will often sort it, and if not, we&#8217;ll know exactly what to look into.<\/p>\n<h4>Try these first<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Restart your phone<\/li>\n<li>Turn airplane mode on for a few seconds, then off again<\/li>\n<li>If it&#8217;s texts (SMS) that won&#8217;t send, check your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/faq\/cant-send-sms-texts\/\">SMS Message Centre number<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Still stuck? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/faq\/troubleshoot-mobile-service\/\">Reset your network settings<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Having trouble with picture messages (MMS)?<\/h4>\n<p>If you&#8217;re trying to send an MMS and get the message &#8220;Message not sent, service not activated on network,&#8221; the file you&#8217;re sending is usually too big.<\/p>\n<p>If it&#8217;s a photo, check that HDR isn&#8217;t switched on in your camera settings. HDR combines several shots into one, which makes the file much larger.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Helpful tip\"><span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/span> For sending photos and videos, a free app like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger is often easier than MMS, with fewer size limits and no extra cost.<\/div>\n<h4>Before you contact us<\/h4>\n<p>If messages still aren&#8217;t working, we&#8217;ll need a few real examples so we can investigate with our network provider. Please jot down <span style=\"font-weight: 600;\">three<\/span> examples, and for each one note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The date and time you tried to send or receive the message<\/li>\n<li>The number you were texting, or the number the message was coming from<\/li>\n<li>What happened, including any error message you saw<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;ll also ask you to try your SIM in another phone.
