It\u2019s a simple extra step to make sure that the request is coming from you &#8211; and only you.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Helpful tip\"><strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/strong> 2FA is a form of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that\u2019s more secure than a password alone &#8211; it relies on something only you can access, like your phone.<\/div>\n<p>Here\u2019s how it works when you request to transfer your mobile number to MATE:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We\u2019ll send an SMS to the mobile number you\u2019ve asked us to transfer, which includes a unique authorisation code.<\/li>\n<li>You must enter this code under <strong>\u2018My Orders\u2019<\/strong> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/mymate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">myMATE app<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/mymate.letsbemates.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">self-care portal<\/a> for the transfer to go ahead.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This code is valid for 24 hours and must only be shared with MATE staff.
