Once payment goes through, you&#8217;ll get a confirmation via email and SMS.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\"><strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/strong> Already a MATE customer adding a new mobile service? We won&#8217;t charge you upfront for the first month.<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 2 &#8211; Receiving your SIM<\/h3>\n<p>Your SIM card will be shipped the next business day. We&#8217;ll confirm it by email and SMS with more info about your service and account.<\/p>\n<h4>\ud83d\udce6 eSIM identity check (if applicable)<\/h4>\n<p>For eSIM services, our system might trigger an identity check. This helps us block fraud attempts before they happen. If required, you&#8217;ll need to verify your identity using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/mymate-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">myMATE app<\/a> or by calling us on <a href=\"tel:131413\">13 14 13<\/a>. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/faq\/call-to-verify-esim-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">read more about why this is needed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\"><strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/strong> If you&#8217;re not prompted for verification, you&#8217;re good to go. Just follow the eSIM activation steps once you receive the instructions.<\/div>\n<p><strong>If you&#8217;ve already received a MATE SIM card before sign-up, you can skip straight to activation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 3 &#8211; SIM Activation<\/h3>\n<h4>\ud83d\udd01 Physical SIM<\/h4>\n<p>Once you receive your SIM card, activate it by logging in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/mymate-app\/\">myMATE app<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/mymate.letsbemates.com.au\/\">self-care portal<\/a> and going to &#8220;my orders&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re porting a number, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/faq\/what-do-i-need-to-transfer-my-mobile-number\/\">read this first<\/a>. Don&#8217;t insert the SIM until the transfer is complete!<\/p>\n<h4>\ud83d\udcf2 eSIM Activation<\/h4>\n<p>To activate your eSIM, log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/mymate.letsbemates.com.au\/sion\/\">self-care portal<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/mymate-app\/\">myMATE app<\/a>. Navigate to &#8220;my orders&#8221; and follow the prompts to activate with either a new number or a ported one.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\"><strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/strong> Don\u2019t cancel your number with your old provider. If the port fails, you could lose your number.<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 4 &#8211; Installing your SIM<\/h3>\n<h4>\ud83d\udce6 Physical SIM Installation<\/h4>\n<p>All our SIM cards are triple punched and work with Standard, Micro, or Nano SIM slots. Choose the size that fits your device and insert it.<\/p>\n<h4>\ud83d\udce9 eSIM Installation<\/h4>\n<p>Once your eSIM is activated, you\u2019ll receive an email with setup instructions. You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scan the QR code to install directly on your device<\/li>\n<li>Use the activation code if the QR code doesn&#8217;t work<\/li>\n<li>Go to the self-care portal and follow the &#8220;view eSIM instructions&#8221; prompt to find both codes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> eSIM installation is only available via the email or self-care portal \u2014 not the app.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Anything else?<\/h3>\n<p>If you&#8217;re keeping your current number, your old provider will automatically cancel once the port is complete. Don&#8217;t cancel early \u2014 this could cause you to lose your number.<\/p>\n<p>Your mobile service with MATE is month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime.
