Some of the common reasons you may see:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CANCELLED CARD<\/strong> \u2013 Your card has been cancelled. Please update your card details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>EXPIRED CARD<\/strong> \u2013 Your card has expired. Please update your card details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>INSUFFICIENT FUNDS<\/strong> \u2013 Not enough funds available to process payment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>INVALID CARD<\/strong> \u2013 Card details provided are invalid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>LOST CARD<\/strong> \u2013 Card reported lost and blocked by your bank.<\/li>\n<li><strong>TRANSACTION INVALID<\/strong> \u2013 Transaction declined by your bank. Contact your bank for more info.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CONTACT BANK<\/strong> \u2013 Bank declined the transaction. Contact your bank directly or update your card to a valid Australian-issued credit\/debit card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>BANK DECLINED TRANSACTION<\/strong> \u2013 Your bank did not approve the charge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SERVER ERROR<\/strong> \u2013 Bank or payment gateway experienced an outage. Revalidate your card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CANNOT GENERATE TOKEN<\/strong> \u2013 The card is not supported (usually non-Australian issued) or invalid details provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sometimes you may see a generic decline reason like <strong>DECLINED<\/strong> or <strong>CONTACT US<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re confident that your card has funds, is valid, and has not expired or been lost, we recommend updating your card details via one of the following:<\/p>\n<h5>\ud83d\udcbb Self-care portal<\/h5>\n<p>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/mymate.letsbemates.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">self-care portal<\/a> with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/faq\/how-do-i-find-my-account-number-mate-code\/\">account number (also known as your MATE code)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Your password (use the <a href=\"https:\/\/mymate.letsbemates.com.au\/password.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">password reset tool<\/a> if needed)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once logged in, click <strong>update payment<\/strong> and follow the prompts.<\/p>\n<h5>\ud83d\udcf1 myMATE app<\/h5>\n<p>Log into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/mymate-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">myMATE app<\/a> and press <strong>update payment<\/strong> to update your card.<\/p>\n<h5>\ud83d\udcde By phone<\/h5>\n<p>Call 13 14 13 and follow the prompts to update your credit card details.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Helpful tip\"><strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/strong> We can only accept Australian issued credit or debit cards for billing.
