This is called the <strong>nbn New Development Fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This once-off fee is not for installation \u2014 it\u2019s a <span class=\"tooltip\" title=\"This fee helps nbn recover the cost of extending its network to new homes.\">developer contributions charge<\/span> set by the Australian Government to help cover the cost of extending the nbn network to new areas.<\/p>\n<p>The fee applies to the first-time connection at a new premises and is charged by nbn, not MATE.
