We recommend following the steps in our setup guide, which we emailed to you after signup.<\/p>\n<h3>MATE Connect (IPoE) configuration<\/h3>\n<p>When you&#8217;ve received your activation email, your service should work automatically if you purchased our modem or are coming from a provider that also uses IPoE.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not online, try the steps below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Hard reset your modem\/router<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>While your modem is powered ON, locate the small \u2018RESET\u2019 button on your device. Insert a pin into the reset hole for 10 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>You should see the lights flicker or toggle. Let the reset run for up to 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>After the reset, your modem should automatically connect to the internet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If this doesn&#8217;t work, move to Step 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2: Check your modem is set to Dynamic IP\/IPoE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019ll need to log in to your modem\/router\u2019s firmware settings to adjust this.<\/li>\n<li>If you need help accessing these settings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.letsbemates.com.au\/mate\/category\/modem-setup-guides\/\">click here for setup guides<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you still can\u2019t connect, follow the PPPoE configuration steps below.<\/p>\n<h3>PPPoE configuration<\/h3>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t know your PPPoE username or password, check your emails from us. You\u2019ll find these details in the emails titled <em>&#8220;You\u2019re nearly there mate!&#8221;<\/em> and <em>&#8220;We\u2019re officially mates!&#8221;<\/em>\n<p>Your MATE username will usually be in one of the following formats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">000000000000000@wba.matenbn.com.au<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">000000@matenbn.com.au<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 1em; background-color: #d7f6e6; border-left: 5px solid #00b26b;\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Helpful tip\"><strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip:<\/strong> Some modems support both IPoE and PPPoE.
