- **FTTP (Fibre to the Premises)**: Full fibre end-to-end to the home. Fastest and most reliable. Eligible for highest speed tiers and fibre upgrade program.
- **FTTN (Fibre to the Node)**: Fibre to a street cabinet; copper wire from the node to the home. Speeds vary with distance from node.
- **FTTB (Fibre to the Building/Basement)**: Fibre to a building's basement (common in apartments). Copper or ethernet completes the last leg to each unit.
- **FTTC (Fibre to the Curb)**: Fibre to a pit at the property boundary; short copper run to the premises. Generally better performance than FTTN.
- **HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial)**: Fibre to a local node; coaxial cable into the home. Shielded cabling helps reduce signal loss.
- **Fixed Wireless**: 4G-like tower signal to a receiver on the home. Suited to regional and rural areas.
